    Default 2.25p starter dog

Just found out the starter dog takes a 43mm / 1-11/16 socket and I didn't have one. The local auto parts didn't have one either. A few calls to other auto parts turned-up zero. One trip to Sears yielded a chrome 12pt. 1-11/16 socket!

Now, I find that the SII radiator interferes with the military crank pulley removal (dual belts)...

Ah the trials and tribulations of Series repair.

I know tractor supply would have had that large a socket but in 3/4 drive I am sure. They also have a "X" cross lug wrench with the 1-1/16 size on it.

I didn't think of TSC! They would have been about 10 minutes closer (round trip), so not much difference overall. I needed about 30 seconds with the rattle gun to loosen the PB-soaked starter dog. That "X"lug wrench would have been useless.

Looking forward to pulling the rest of it next weekend...

The lug wrench would have been useless but I found it a neat thing to find knowing it would fit my D-1 lug nuts and not having to get out my breaker bar and socket every time I need to change a tire.
