    Default rover to the rescue

The strange rover earned its keep today.

Not the clearest picture with my phone through a very wet windshield, but I took the scenic route home from work today after getting out a little early. The road dead ends as far as I know so I figured I'd go down it just a bit to get the tires dirty and then head back out.

Just as I stopped to turn around I saw 4 teenagers walking up the trail ahead. For some reason I decided to stick around for a second and see if they knew where the road leads to. Plus, its been cold and raining all day so it seemed odd to be this far back in the woods on foot. Before I even got the window all the way down they're asking what my winch is rated for! They had been stuck for about 5 hours in some ruts a mile or two further into the woods. I drove them back to the Dodge, hooked up the winch and a few minutes later they were free and heading back to civilization.

A good start to the holiday weekend!
