Default Can one fit a Salisbury rear axle to a Series 88?

I know it would need a custom driveshaft, but is there anything else to worry about?

    Thanks

On a 109 the springs mounts are outside of the frame. On an 88 the are directly under the frame. So the question here is if the spring purchases that ride on the springs are close towards the wheels (like 4 inches) than on an 88. I think that they are, but I'm not sure. If it is true, then you'd have to cut off the existing mounts and reweld them in place in the correct location.

The 2nd issue is that the shock mount on a 109 rear is welded to the axle case (behind the axle) instead of on the side of the spring plate. You could probably use the spring plate from an 88 instead.
