    Unhappy Resetting Check engine light!!!

Hello, I have a disco II and the check engine light came on after the gas attendant did not tighthen up the gas cap. Is there a way to reset this without going to the mechanic?

    Thanks in advance

I have sometimes had luck with unplugging the battery for an hour or so. When you plug it back in though, you'll have to reset the temperature to fahrenheight (sp?).

...which is very easy to do. Withthe key on and the climate control off, depress the button all the way to the right of the four buttons on the bottom. Hold for a few seconds and while still holding the rh button, depress the power button and hold. Should toggle right over.
The light would eventually go out after a number of key cycles...

Coincidentally, that is the same sequence used to connect to the international space station.

You want to swing by tomorrow and we'll put the scan tool on it? There could be something in the memory w/o the display...
