Has anyone researched conversion of the P38 Rover to a greeen machine?
I would like to run biodiesel or maybe have a chip to run high % ethanol throgh the gas engine. Is this rational?

There is a thread around here somewhere discussing the topic. You'd have to swap to diesel before running bio, and you'd have to change all of your fuel line components and fuel management systems to use E. It's unlikely that a conversion would yeild positive economical results for you. Not to metion the fact that E doesn't burn as well as unfettered gasoline, meaning you will actually get worse fuel mileage from E85.
If you're starting with a diesel, it's not a bad idea to go veggie. Peter B. can school you on that. If your concerns are more environmental, you could try an LPG conversion. It's cheaper and more readily available around here. You could also ride a bike to work like I do. It helps living 2 miles from your job.
By the way, welcome to the club!
